HillSouth has been named as a finalist for the 2015 InnoVision Education Award. The work that HillSouth performed in partnership with the Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics’ Accelerate program allowed it to become a finalist for this prestigious award.
GSSM, the GSSM Foundation, and HillSouth partnered to build an innovative and reliable computing platform that allows students in 10th, 11th, and 12th grades across South Carolina to earn up to 43 College Credit Hours towards an advanced engineering degree. The program utilizes state of the art technology to deliver a virtual computing environment capable of efficiently running the most demanding of engineering applications to a high school campuses across the state directly from the GSSM main campus in Hartsville, South Carolina.
HillSouth was proud to partner with other great corporate sponsors to support and build this advanced system which allows high school students to gain skills and use resources and technology that would otherwise not be made available to them until post-secondary education. “HillSouth has developed a great history of working in the education industry with organizations such as GSSM and Coker College recently and we are especially proud to have the opportunity to be recognized as a leader in education IT with this InnoVision Award nomination in 2015”, said Founder Robby Hill.
