Robby Hill, President of HillSouth, is a remarkable young man as evidenced by his founding of HillSouth LLC, an information technology solutions company, at the age of 16. In 2006, HillSouth entered an innovative joint venture with Fortune 500 company ‘CDW’and these circumstances prompted significant growth in his business. HillSouth assisted several local workforce investment areas, including the Pee Dee, by developing a website at www.scjobready.com for job seekers to match up their skills with jobs in South Carolina and for employers who pay for their employees or prospective hires to be evaluated using WorkKeys to download their assessments instantly.

HillSouth developed the technology to allow any agency providing job seeker assessments or job profiling through WorkKeys to submit their WorkKeys assessments easily and quickly over the web. HillSouth employees contribute much of their time to local economic development efforts as they volunteer with the Florence Chamber of Commerce and design websites for several counties’ economic development agencies. Mr. Hill also donates his time towards numerous non-profit projects, serving as Treasurer and board member for ScienceSouth and board member of the Florence Chamber of Commerce, the Florence Regional Arts Alliance, and the Pee Dee Chapter of the American Red Cross. Earlier this year, Mr. Hill was named 2007 Small Business Administration’s Young Entrepreneur for South Carolina and the Southeast Region. This small business man and his company are making a significant difference in his community and in the State of South Carolina.
