this sounds, we actually do hear this last question all the
time. Fortunately, the answer is quite simple and it really
doesn't involve much magic. From printers to scanners, fax
machines to desktop computers, eCabinet securely stores any
file type from your network office peripherals, and they are
retrieved from the convenience of your favorite Web browser by
simply searching eCabinet for words, names, or dates found in
your document's text, or by viewing thumbnails of files that
you've captured.
If you
want to find your documents by searching for indexed content,
our database technology recognizes over 200 of the most popular
file formats and extracts text with an OCR (optical character
recognition) engine. eCabinet then stores all document
information into a full-content searchable index. You can also
personalize document retrieval by entering in your own metadata
such as keyword notes and workgroup names for the index to
store. eCabinet even automatically backs up all captured files
to DVD or NFS, ensuring that you've got failsafe backups of all
of your documents, and can find them when you need them, fast!
