Robby Hill, President & CEO
Mr. Hill - an entrepreneur and owner/founder of an information technology consulting firm based in Florence, called HillSouth. Prior to forming HillSouth in 1999, Robby spent 3 years working with Florence-Darlington Technical College building their online college program and Sonoco Products Company providing intranet expertise. His company, HillSouth, employs 9 people and has offices in Florence and Columbia providing application development and strategic information technology consulting for companies and organizations around the Southeastern US.
Robby has received numerous accolades for his work through the years. The US Small Business Administration honored him as Young Entrepreneur of the Year for South Carolina and the Southeastern US in 2007. His company, HillSouth, was honored by the South Carolina Department of Commerce in 2007 with the Palmetto Workforce Partnership Award. This honor is only awarded to 3 companies each year and recognizes innovative business practices and a company's ability to leverage governmental partnerships to achieve success.
Mr. Hill currently serves as a director of four non-profit organizations. These organizations include: ScienceSouth, Inc (a 501c(3) non-profit dedicated to furthering science, mathematics, and technology education in South Carolina); Young Professionals of Florence; the Pee Dee Chapter of the American Red Cross; and Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce. In June 2009, County Council appointed Robby to represent Florence County (SC) on the Pee Dee Workforce Investment Board.
Andy Patel, Executive VP
Mr. Patel, an alumnus if the University of South Carolina, has over 12 years of experience in Enterprise IT as well as a background in analytical chemistry, solid state physics and electrical engineering. Andy holds numerous technical certifications from leading technology providers such as Cisco, EMC, VMWare and 3Com.
Mr. Patel focuses primarily on enterprise storage solutions, advanced routing\switching and virtualization technologies. Andy's duties include high-level design, testing and implementation as well as managing the daily operations of HillSouth's IT group.
